What is cotton sateen?
Cotton sateen describes a particular way of weaving cotton to create a smooth surface with a subtle sheen. The distinction lies in the weave, rather than the fibre itself. In a sateen weave, the threads are arranged so that more yarns sit across the surface of the fabric. This creates its characteristic smooth finish, gentle lustre and fluid drape.

Caring for cotton sateen bed linen
Beautiful bed linen should be straightforward to care for. Our cotton sateen is made to be enjoyed every day, and keeping it looking its best is refreshingly simple.
Our bed linen can be washed at temperatures of up to 95°C, although 60°C is perfectly suitable for normal use. Tumble drying is absolutely fine, but avoid overloading the dryer to help minimise creasing. Where possible, we recommend line drying. If ironing is needed, do so while the fabric is still slightly damp for the best results.
